Estigma social de pessoas vivendo com HIV e a saúde bucal: uma revisão de escopo

Introdução: A infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana persiste em uma trama com repercussões de ordem social, psicológica e de estigma, associada a outras problemáticas, como discriminação. Objetivo: Esta revisão de escopo busca explorar a literatura científica associada às relações entre estigma social de pessoas vivendo com o vírus da imunodeficiência humana e saúde bucal. Metodologia: A revisão foi baseada no protocolo do Joanna Briggs Institute. As bases Embase, Pubmed, SCOPUS e Web of Science foram selecionadas para identificação dos artigos, que foram selecionados de acordo com as estratégias pré-estabelecidas. Foi realizada uma síntese narrativa dos dados. Resultados e Discussão: Nove estudos foram incluídos e suas análises apontaram situações de discriminação na relação de cuidado de saúde, desconhecimento por parte de estudantes e profissionais, além de lacunas nos currículos de Odontologia. Considerações Finais: O estigma interseccional e os determinantes sociais da saúde foram destacados como barreiras adicionais ao acesso aos cuidados em saúde bucal e piora da qualidade de vida em pessoas vivendo com HIV.
