This is a qualitative research as part of a master's thesis study and aimed to describe the work processes and the possibilities perceived by Physical Education professionals when entering health residencies in the state of Ceará. This is a field research, where the research scenario was formed by three institutions in Ceará that are the only ones that have in their residency programs the presence of physical education among the professional categories. Twelve resident professionals from the physical education nucleus who completed their training at the residence in 2019 participated in the research. The professionals were voluntarily invited to participate in an interview and report on the work processes in their training course between the years 2018 and 2019 that they were in the residency. After analyzing the data, it was agreed to form two empirical categories: “Places of action” and “activities developed”. The main results indicate that the residency in health provides the physical education professional with a diversity of experiences in the context of intersectoriality, care tools and collaborative work. With this, the interprofessional and multiprofessional approaches, experienced by residents, aim to strengthen the paths already trodden and also to problematize new possibilities of spaces and activities for the category in public health.
