Abstract

Objective: This research aimed to analyze the perception of dentists in a Sanitary District in the city of Recife-PE regarding records, monitoring and evaluation carried out in the e-SUS APS. Methods: This is a study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through individual interviews with a semi-structured script, between the months of July and August 2022, with eight dentists from oral health teams in Sanitary District I of Recife, Pernambuco. Then, the information produced was analyzed through content analysis. Results: The e-SUS APS facilitated the work process of the respondents by simplifying data collection and providing monitoring of the user's health situation. However, this has been underused. With regard to weaknesses, respondents highlighted barriers related to the structure of health units, such as technical situations of internet connectivity, as well as the need for effective and periodic training. Conclusions: The study revealed that one of the problems that permeate the operation of the e-SUS APS concerns its underuse. There is a need to train dentists to use the e-SUS APS and invest in the infrastructure of basic health units, as computerization is still precarious.
