Objectives: To report the experience of planning, elaborating and conducting workshops of the Breastfeeding and Feeding Brazil Strategy in the scope of Primary Health Care in the municipality of Crato, Ceará. Methods: A professional qualification was carried out for a deeper understanding of the theme and, subsequently, there were meetings for planning and identification of the Basic Health Units that would participate in the proposed moments, as well as the invitation to them and the construction of the work workshop plan. There was the use of active methodologies, through dialogues with exchanges of knowledge and empirical-scientific experiences, disseminating the guidelines of the Ministry of Health on Breastfeeding and Healthy Complementary Feeding. Results: The guiding workshop plan was built from the observations and group discussions held after reading the support/consultation materials, aiming to materialize in a playful, clear and simple way, all the information pertinent to the theme and that were consistent with the demands and needs of the territories. 09 topics used to constitute the final script were listed. The realization of the workshops in different Family Health teams provided a broad view and goes against the often disabling reality that many mothers experience and were reported by the health professionals of the units. Conclusions: The execution of the workshops enabled the strengthening of actions to promote, protect and support breastfeeding and healthy complementary feeding, in addition to improving demands in the field of feeding and nutrition of children under 2 years of age in the municipality.Downloads
