Introduction: Long COVID Syndrome is characterized by persistent functional impairments following COVID-19 infection, extending for more than 12 weeks without explanation by other diagnoses. The main sequelae include impaired lung function, fatigue, muscle weakness, mobility limitations, and difficulties in performing activities of daily living. Physiotherapeutic intervention, focused on respiratory, aerobic, and resistance exercises anchored in functional activities, can improve these conditions. Objective: To assess functional alterations and analyze the effectiveness of a physiotherapeutic intervention protocol in patients with Long COVID Syndrome in Vale do Ribeira. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional observational study conducted with patients from Registro, SP. Sociodemographic profile, pre-existing health conditions, and participants' functionality were evaluated before and after physiotherapeutic intervention. Results: Predominance of females (60.0%) and individuals with completed higher education (60.0%). Half of the participants (50.0%) were employed in public-facing roles. On average, 14 sessions per patient were conducted. There was a significant improvement in the distance covered in the six-minute walk test (from 325.1 ±94.8m to 422.6 ±120.6m, p? 0.05) and in dyspnea perception. The Barthel Index showed an increase from 91 ± 8.4 to 99 ± 3.2 after physiotherapeutic treatment (p? 0.05). Conclusion: Patients with Long COVID Syndrome presented cardiometabolic and musculoskeletal dysfunctions, as well as limitations in daily and social activities. Physiotherapeutic intervention proved effective in improving cardiorespiratory conditioning, functional capacity for physical exercise, and social participation.
