Profile of absenteeism of public servers in a municipality in the Extreme South of Santa Catarina

The aim of this study was to verify the absenteeism profile of public servants in a municipality in the extreme south of Santa Catarina. The research is observational and cross-sectional, using data provided by the studied municipal government. A total of 578 municipal civil servants who left between 2015 and 2020 were analyzed. Among the civil servants on leave, 77.3% were female, 31.5% were between 29 and 38 years old, 53, 3% were statutory servants, and 65.1% were in the first 5 years of employment. The Teaching Assistants of Education, were the professionals who moved the most, and among the secretariats, was the Department of Education. Diseases caused by mental and behavioral disorders, musculoskeletal system diseases, respiratory system diseases and factors that influence health status and contact with health services were identified as the main causes of sick leave. It is concluded that the causes of leaves are worrying, and cause changes in work processes. Thus, it is important to understand this dynamic, it helps to plan measures to reduce absenteeism rates in the city.Downloads
