Objective: to investigate the quality of life of elderly people in a Family Health Strategy in a city in the north of Minas Gerais. Methods: This is a descriptive, qualitative study, carried out with 15 elderly people aged between 63 and 88 years. Data were collected between August and September 2023 from a semi-structured interview and analyzed using Thematic Analysis. Results: The informants have a good perception of quality of life, which is related to being close to family, having financial stability, friendly coexistence and practicing physical activity, but there are aspects that interfere with quality of life such as advanced age, income received, comorbidities and the use of multiple medications. The work carried out by the health team to promote quality of life is considered excellent due to the welcoming and home monitoring. In addition, the team provides guidance and control of blood pressure and blood glucose in educational, individual and collective actions. Conclusion: The findings reinforce the idea that quality of life is multidimensional. From this perspective, to promote the quality of life of elderly people, the health team must be aware of the dimensions associated with it, by elderly people, and act to promote health and mitigate factors that influence the perception of quality of life.Downloads
